The Goal Forecast: Week of November 2
The Goal Forecast, Issue No. 09. For reflection, not prediction.
November is a day old, which makes this a good week to decide how the last stretch of the year is going to go. One small nudge below for each of the eight.
Eight cards. Turn yours, then turn the others.

No. 01 The Trailblazer
November begins the last stretch of the year. Pick the one thing you want finished by December and let that have your speed, rather than spreading it across four trails.

No. 02 The Navigator
Look back at October before you plan November. A week built on what actually happened holds up better than one built on what you meant to do.

No. 03 The Cartographer
Set a timer for twenty minutes this week and spend it on the work itself, not the plan for it. Whatever exists at the end of those minutes is worth more than another page of notes.

No. 04 The Homebody
Do the someday thing badly, once. A first try that is not very good still moves it out of the someday pile, and nothing about the life you love has to change for it.

No. 05 The Adventurer
Go back to the road you were most excited about in September and give it an hour this week. Old enthusiasm still counts, and that one is already further along.
Turn the card
No. 06 The Collector
The urge to wait for a clean January start will arrive long before January does. Take the thing you would begin then and begin one small piece of it now.
Turn the card
No. 07 The Lighthouse Keeper
Decide one small thing today without looking anything up: the paint colour, the recipe, the Tuesday. Deciding is a practice, and it does not mind how small you start.

No. 08 The Stargazer
Of all the stars you are watching, notice which one you would mind still only watching a year from now. That is the one that gets a first step this week.
Not sure which one is you? Take the quiz. Twenty-four questions, about five minutes, and a keepsake card at the end.
